Program Supervision
The Club provides group-based programming and follows established staff-to-member
ratios. The Club does not provide one-on-one support or individualized supervision. For
member safety, any child who receives one-on-one support at school must also have oneon-one support in BGCGSD programs. Families whose child requires one-on-one assistance
may provide an outside support person, as long as that individual completes and is
approved through the Club’s required volunteer clearance and background check process,
and, when applicable, a TB test, before the program start date.
Program Ratios
Club activities are under continuous supervision by an employee of the BGCGSD and
maintain reasonable ratios when supervising youth. The recommended ratios for the
organization are as follows:
