Member Support and Positive Behavior Guidance Policy
Our Commitment
Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego is committed to providing a safe, welcoming, and
positive environment where every young person can learn, grow, build confidence, and form
meaningful relationships. Our programs help members strengthen social, emotional,
physical, and academic skills while exploring new opportunities.
Member Support and Reasonable Accommodations
We recognize that each child is unique and may benefit from different supports to
participate successfully. Reasonable accommodations may be available, including wellness
toolkits and designated regulation spaces at all Club locations. These resources give
members an opportunity to pause, refocus, practice self-regulation, and return to Club
activities when ready. The Club does not purchase specific regulation items; however,
members may bring their own items if they are safe and do not distract from the program or
other members.
To remain eligible, members must be able to participate in group programming and use the
restroom independently. BGCGSD does not enroll children who require diapering or
restroom assistance. Members who leave the program area without permission or present a
flight risk may be suspended or expelled at BGCGSD’s discretion. To request a reasonable
accommodation, please contact your local BGCGSD site.
